Where to Stay in Berlin

Berlin is spread across several distinct hubs rather than one compact old town: Alexanderplatz, Mitte and Potsdamer Platz anchor the historic and modern centre, while Kurfürstendamm offers a more polished western alternative. Neighbourhoods such as Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg reward returning visitors with local life and nightlife. Choose a base with good S-Bahn, U-Bahn or FEX connections; the centre has the fastest links from BER.
