Where to Stay in Kraków

Kraków is compact and walkable, with the Old Town and Wawel at its historic core, Kazimierz just to the south-east, and Podgórze across the Wisła river. Most first-time visitors base themselves in or near the Old Town for easy sightseeing, food and nightlife, while Kazimierz and Podgórze offer more local atmosphere. Nowa Huta is a genuine budget option further east with regular tram links.
